Living in Whistler since 2003 I have seen changes and phases happen not only to our dazzling town but to myself as I have spent majority of my adult life here.
As many people fall in love with Whistler you quickly can become comfortable and in my case complacent about living in this beautiful bubble and not taking care of oneself.
Unhealthy eating followed by yo-yo dieting, followed by binge drinking led to weight gain, depression and severe anxiety. It wasn’t until I found a book- 30 day hormone diet, By Dr. Natasha Turner, N.D where I started meal planning and prepping healthy food for myself that I really saw true transformation in how I felt from the foods I was eating. As my relationship with food improved, it was this experience of changing the way I looked at food that inspired me to go to Vancouver to study at the Institute of Holistic Nutrition.
